[Also in Division F1] A fuel supply system for a gas turbine comprises a supply conduit 6 receiving fuel from a pump 1 and a flow control device 2, a branch 19 connected through a flow sensing device 21 to a first burner port 3, another branch 26 connected through a distribution valve 27 to second and third burner ports 4, 5 which are opened one after the other by movement of the valve in one direction and closed one after the other by movement of the valve in opposite direction, and a fluid servodevice 37 to control the valve 27 in response to an input signal of at least one engine-operating condition and to a flow signal from the device 21, the servo-device 37 determining the maximum fuel flow to the first burner which is a function of one or more engine-operating conditions and controlling the valve 27 to regulate flow at least to the second burner when the total supply in the conduit 6 exceeds the maximum flow to the first burner. The device 21 consists of an orifice 48 and a conical plug 49 coupled by an arm 51 and a torsion rod 53 to a pivoted member 41 controlling the discharge from opposed nozzles 38, 39 fed through restrictors 46, 47 from the conduit 6. The member 41 is also coupled to opposed capsules 42, 43 to which signals, such as compressor delivery and jet pipe pressure are admitted. Compressor delivery pressure in the capsule 42 holds the member 41 against the nozzle 39 until reheat fuel flow begins when the pressure at the nozzle 39 exceeds that at nozzle 38 and acts through a pipe 32 to hold the valve 27 in the fully closed position. As the flow increases, the plug 49 lifts and applies a torsional load through the rod 53 to move the member 41 towards the nozzle 38 so that increased pressure in a pipe 28 begins to open the valve 27 and a part of the total fuel flow first passes to the port 4 and later to both of the ports 3 and 4. The latter may supply reheat or by-pass burners. A valve 7 maintains the pressure in a supply pipe 8 for the device 37 while a valve 23 prevents fuel escaping into the port 3 until there is pressure in the conduit 6.</p>
