PURPOSE: A method for forming a social network using personal connection information on a mobile phone and a device thereof are provided to analyze communication activities with respect to personal connections on a mobile phone and in the existing social network services, thereby enabling a user to systematically managing all personal connections. CONSTITUTION: A personal connection information collecting unit(110) collects personal connection information on a mobile phone. A communication activity extracting unit(120) extracts the communication state with personal connections from the mobile phone. A relationship index calculating unit(130) calculates a relationship index of communication activities to analyze the communication activity state with each person in the personal connection information. A communication activity index calculating unit(140) calculates an overall communication activity index to analyze the communication activity state.
