PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new azomethine compound having a hue which is preferable on reproducibility of color, having an optimal molecular absorption characteristic, good light resistance, large molar absorption coefficient and good maximum concentration, a mixture of the azomethine compound with a metal ion- containing compound, a heat-sensitive transfer material and a color toner. SOLUTION: This azomethine compound is represented by the general formula (1) [wherein A1 and A2 each represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic group and at least either one group thereof represents the aromatic hydrocarbon group; Q1 and Q2 each represent an atomic group which is required for the azomethine compound represented by general formula (1) to have absorptions in an visible area and/or a near-infrared area; L1 and L2 are each a connecting group]. |
