PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to prevent foreign material flowed into an intake nozzle from moving to an inlet as a dust separation protecting part is obliquely formed toward a direction far away from an agitator. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises a body(1), an intake nozzle(5), and an agitator. The body forms a collection device(11) and a vacuum motor(13). The intake nozzle is communicated with the collection device. The agitator is rotatably formed in the intake nozzle and comprises a brush(533) and a blade(535). The blush is contacted with a target cleaned surface. The blade makes airflow which enables foreign material on the target cleaned surface to be floated while rotating the agitator. The blade is arranged in the outer circumference of the agitator and is formed to be inclined at designated angle with a rotary shaft of the agitator.
