TRIBOLOGICAL COATINGS ON SURFACE TEXTURED WITH MICRO AND NANO SCALES AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A wear-resistant thin film having a micro and nano surface structure and a forming method thereof are provided to allow the application of a wear-resistant thin film to various fields by forming projections and embossing suitable for frictional environments and demanded wear resistances. CONSTITUTION: A wear-resistant thin film(10) comprises a micro-nano surface structure layer(16) and a low-friction layer(18). The micro-nano surface structure layer has micro-size embossing(12) formed on a mechanically grinded work piece(W) and nano-size projections(14) formed on the surface of the embossing. The low-friction layer is formed on the outer side of the micro-nano surface structure layer.
