<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lithium-containing multiple oxide for a positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery having a high volume capacity density, high safety, excellent charge-discharge cycle durability and excellent low-temperature properties, a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery containing the produced lithium-containing multiple oxide, and a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the lithium-containing multiple oxide represented by the formula: Li<SB>p</SB>N<SB>x</SB>M<SB>m</SB>O<SB>z</SB>F<SB>a</SB>(wherein N is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Co, Mn and Ni; M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of transition metal elements other than N, Al and alkaline earth metal elements; 0.9≤p≤1.2; 0.97≤x<1.00; 0<m≤0.03; 1.9≤z≤2.2; x+m=1; and 0≤a≤0.02) includes firing a mixture comprising a lithium source, an N element source, an M element source and, optionally, a fluorine source in an oxygen-containing atmosphere, wherein an aqueous solution of a carboxylate compound having the M element within a molecule is used as the M element source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
