<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which a thermoresponsive member for cutting off the supply of current to a heat source, when a heating roller has an abnormal high temperature, can be easily replaced without any adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: In the fixing device, when a replacement part for maintenance 18 comprising the thermoresponsive member 9 attached to a holding member 11 is incorporated, an elastic body 12 attached to the holding member 11 butts against the housing 14 of the fixing device, the holding member 11 is pushed toward the heating roller 1 by the reaction force of the elastic body 12, and the exterior reference surface 9a of the thermoresponsive member 9 is pressed against the surface of the heating roller 1, in such a state that a spacer 13 is held therebetween.
