<p>The method involves utilizing optical character recognition (OCR) processing for a mail piece of run to derive indication of spatial position of a block of pixels in which the processing includes recognized information e.g. franking information, for consolidating a matrix accumulator (190). An optical flap map is derived by construction and local graphical correlation of blocks of image pixels, where the map indicates local graphical movements of the pixels, enables movements of unitary accumulation elements to be tracked dynamically and reinforces robustness of detection of zone of interest. An independent claim is also included for a machine for processing i.e. sorting, mail pieces in sorting outlets of a sorting conveyor.</p> |
