摘要 PURPOSE: A relocation apparatus and method of a robot are provided to relocate a robot at any place within a radio ranging area through a wireless communication device. CONSTITUTION: A relocation apparatus(300) of a robot comprises a particle generating unit(301), first and second distance acquisition units(302,303), and a location estimating unit(304). The particle generating unit is creates a plurality of particles in a map. The first distance acquisition unit acquires a first distance based on the positions of a wireless communication device and the particles on the map, wherein the first distance indicates the distance between the wireless communication device and each particle. The second distance acquisition unit acquires a second distance based on the intensity of a radio signal from the wireless communication device and the arrival time of the radio signal, wherein the second distance indicates the distance between the wireless communication device and the robot. The location estimating unit estimates the location of the robot from the first and second distances.
