摘要 PURPOSE: Controlling logic and method for charging and discharging batteries is provided to set the state of charge(SOC) band of an SOC strategic decision value by considering driving modes, driver tendency, and environmental variables. CONSTITUTION: An SOC strategic decision value is set(S1). Driver tendency is verified based on kick-down shift numbers and the driving state of an accelerator pedal(S2). Environmental variables are verified based on the slope of a driving road and the external temperature and the battery temperature of a vehicle(S3). A controlling part calculates an SOC band changed amount to correct the band value of the SOC strategic decision value(S4). The controlling part monitors the SOC of an existing battery(S5). The SOC of the existing battery is controlled in order to control the charging and the discharging of the battery according to a band containing the SOC of the battery(S6).
