A vehicle load indicator comprising an extendable rod or rule for measuring the degree of deflection of the vehicles suspension under load. The load indicator consists of an outer tube (D) attachable to a fixed point on the vehicles body and an inner rod (F) that slides within the outer tube and extends towards the travelling surface beneath one of the vehicles wheels. As the vehicle is loaded, the inner rod (F) is caused to slide within outer tube (D). The inner rod has a pointer or gauge marker (H) which moves against a scale marked on the tube (F) to indicate when the vehicle is fully loaded. A device can be placed on each of the vehicles wheels in order to determine whether the load is balanced. |
