<p>A method and vehicle system of blocking the actuation an on-board vehicle device 3 in dependence upon the signal status of a signalling system 2, whereby a vehicle 1 receives a signal transmitted by a signalling system 2 and containing information about the duration of a signal status of the signalling system 2. It is determined whether the actuation of the on-board vehicle device 3 may be completed within the duration of a current signal status and if not, the actuation of the on-board vehicle device 3 is blocked. The system may signal whether the actuation is possible, the actuation may be blocked or released if the vehicle is stationary in front of signals, and the actuation may be requested in advance and executed at the next suitable signals. The vehicle position may be determined by a navigation system and the signalling system distinguished by an identifier. The blocked actuation may be of a convertible or soft top, or the adjustment of a seat or steering wheel. The duration, beginning, or end of the signal status may be used, and the signal status may be transmitted on request by the vehicle or permanently.</p> |
