PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to have high capacity, and to have improved ion conductivity, thereby reducing internal resistance, hardly generating thermal contraction at overheating, having excellent reliability, and stable performance strong against sputtering resistance. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery(1) comprises a positive electrode(4), a negative electrode(2), electrolyte containing lithium salt and non-aqueous organic solvent, and a separator(3), which is between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, comprising a first metal oxide-containing core, and a second metal oxide shell formed on the surface of the core. The first metal oxide is SiO2, Al2O3, or combination thereof. The second metal oxide is MgO, V2O5, WO3 or combinations thereof. |
