PURPOSE: Method and device for preventing water hammer without excavating a water supply pipe are provided to prevent water hammer since air pocket does not occur when water is supplied to a water supply pipe. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing water hammer without excavating a water supply pipe is as follows. Water supply pipes(10,10a) are cut to several pieces with regular length. A reinforcing tube(20) is constructed in one water supply pipe. A T-shaped bonding pipe(30) is laterally inserted into between the water supply pipes. The T-shaped bonding pipe comprises a through hole. Coupling rings(60,60a) are inserted into the outside of the coupling part of the water supply pipe and the T-shaped bonding pipe.
