PURPOSE: An iron core and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize the waste of an iron core material by forming a first E type iron core and a second E type iron core. CONSTITUTION: An iron core material is supplied to a molding apparatus. An embossed part is formed in the iron core material. A first E type iron core is formed by punching the iron core material in which the embossed part is formed(S300). A second E type iron core base is formed by eliminates scraps generated by the punching of the first E type iron core. A second E type iron core is formed by cutting the second E type iron core base(S500).
