PURPOSE: A knapsack type infant carrier is provided to enable a user to freely hug a baby forward or to carry the baby on his/her back. CONSTITUTION: A knapsack type infant carrier comprises a saddle(100), a waist fixture(300), a shoulder strap(400), a seat back(500), a fabric body(600), and a head support(700). The saddle is comprised of a frame and a cushion part. The waist fixture is installed in the frame of the saddle and fixes the saddle in the waist of a user. The shoulder strap is comprised of a frame and a cushion part. The seat back is expanded to the upper part of the saddle and supports the back of an infant. The fabric body covers the body of the infant. The head support is expanded to the seat back and supports the head of the infant.
