PURPOSE: A composition containing Allium fistulosum L. extract for preventing and treating lipis-associated cardiovascular diseases or obesity is provided to suppress body fat and lipid synthesis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating obesity contains Allium fistulosum L. extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture thereof. A method for preparing the extract comprises: a step of adding solvent to the dry Allium fistulosum L. and extracting; a step of filtering the extract; and a step of decompressing the extract. The low alcohol is ethanol or methanol. A health food for preventing and treating obesity contains the extract as an active ingredient. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating lipid-associated cardiovascular diseases contains the extract as an active ingredient.
