PURPOSE: A washing machine with a variable washing space is provided to distribute laundry into first and second washing spaces and wash the laundry. CONSTITUTION: A main drum portion(20) includes a first washing space(22). A sub drum portion(30) is installed on the inner side of the main drum portion. The sub drum portion includes a second washing space(32). A moving portion(40) moves the sub drum portion in a central axis direction of the main drum portion. The moving portion varies the first and second washing spaces.
