PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to simultaneously obtain a high contrast ratio and a wide viewing angle. CONSTITUTION: Branch electrodes(191a1,191a2) of a first pixel electrode and branch electrodes(191b1,191b2) of a second pixel electrode are alternatively arranged. The gap between branch units(191a3,191a4) of the first pixel electrode and branch units of the second pixel electrode is relatively broad in a first area. The gap between the branch units of the first pixel electrode and the branch units of the second pixel electrode is relatively broad in a second area. The size of the first area is eight times larger than the size of the second area. |
