WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHODS AND COMPONENTS THAT IMPLEMENT HANDOFF IN WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORKS

PURPOSE: A wireless communication method and apparatus thereof are provided to promote the robustness of a network by enabling a user to use a roaming service. CONSTITUTION: An initial AP(Access Point) determines the redirection of a target AP for a WTRU(Wireless Transmission and Reception Unit). The WTRU determines the approval of a redirection in the target AP. The WTRU transmit a analysis determination to the initial AP through DRRsp(Directed Re-association Response). In case the WTRU receives a hand-off request, the WTRU reconstructs the target AP. The WTRU transmits DRCf(Directed Re-association Confirmation) signal to the target AP.
