<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC power generator for a vehicle, which facilitates the reduction in brush temperature and discharge of brush wear powder, prevents an increase in costs due to an increase in the number of components, and further, prevents foreign matters from entering into a brush device. <P>SOLUTION: The AC power generator 100 for a vehicle has: a brush device 26 which stores a brush 32 sliding on slip rings 21, 22 provided to a rotary shaft 14 of a rotor 10, and covers the outer peripheral part of the slip rings 21, 22; a rear-side frame 2 mounted with electrical components including the brush device 26; and a rear cover 27 for covering the electrical components. An internal space near the slip rings 21, 22 covered by the brush device 26 is configured such that the side of the rear cover 27 is opened along the rotary shaft 14 while a wall part 50 integrally formed with the rear cover 27 and extended to the side of the brush device 26 along the rotary shaft 14 is multiply arranged around the brush device 26 and in a radial direction with the rotary shaft 14 centered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
