PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a connecting rod of a ship with a hemispherical crosshead unit is provided to reduce materials required for manufacturing a connecting rod by reducing the thickness and volume of the connecting rod. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a connecting rod of a ship with a hemispherical crosshead unit is as follows. A heated steel ingot(10) is pressed and is offsetted by a flat plate type upper die. The offsetted material(11) is rotated and is repetitively pressed by the upper die to be processed into the square bar shaped material(12). A holder is formed by repetitively pressing a part of the square bar shaped material. The die is replaced into a curved taper die, and the replaced curved taper die is installed in a hydraulic press.
