PURPOSE: A cutting edge for a trimming or punching die is provided to prevent a cut object from being scattered out of the cutting edge because an ultrasonic vibrator is installed in the cutting edge to keep the cut object in near an edge tip. CONSTITUTION: A cutting edge for a trimming or punching die includes a discharge passage expanding step. The discharge passage expanding step is formed at the length of h(0.1mm<=h<=1.5mm) from the edge tip of a wall surface of a discharge passage(P). Inner contour of a cross section is same as contour of a cut object or larger than the cut object in behind the discharge passage expanding step. The height of the discharge passage expanding step is over 0.03mm.
