SYSTEM FOR POSITION REFERENCE OF VESSEL BY USING SOUND SOURCE LOCALIZATION AND POSITION REFERENCE METHOD

PURPOSE: A system and a method for the position reference of a vessel based on multiple sound sources-based position estimation are provided to estimate the absolute position of a vessel based on the relative positions and the absolute positions of acoustic signal generating devices. CONSTITUTION: Two or more acoustic signal generators(200) simultaneously or successively transmit different signals. A position estimating unit(250) calculates first relative positions of acoustic signal generating devices based on the vessel using multiple sound source-based signals from the devices. The position estimating unit calculates the second absolute position of the vessel based on the first relative positions of the devices and the pre-confirmed first absolute positions of the devices.
