PURPOSE: A composition containing horse oil-containing crude drug extract is provided to ensure anti-oxidation and cytokine IL-10 expression and to dramatically suppress IgE expression. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains Glycyrrhizae radix, Angelicae gigantis Radix, Rehmanniae Radix Preparata, Cnidii Rhizoma, Astragali Radix, Moutan Cortex Radicis, Houttuynia cordata or Puerariae Radix extract and horse oil as an active ingredient. The horse oil is purified from Jeju horse. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or mixture solvent thereof. A health food for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains the extract and horse oil as an active ingredient.
