PURPOSE: A device for detecting of an overlapped plate is provided to improve the reliability of a detection of an overlapped plate because the existence of the overlapped plate is primarily confirmed by irradiating lights to the bottom of a moving plate to indicate a reference line and image-processing and secondarily confirmed by sensing the bottom of the moving plate by using a sensor measuring unit. CONSTITUTION: A device(1) for detecting of an overlapped plate comprises an irradiation unit(20), a camera unit(30), a controller(40), and a display unit(50). The irradiation unit irradiates lights to indicate a reference line(22) of a moving plate(80) lifted to a crane(10). The camera unit photographs the moving plate where the lights are irradiated. The controller image-processes image-signals input by the camera unit. The controller decided whether an overlapped plate(85) is attached on the moving plate or not. The display unit indicates a result value of the controller.
