PURPOSE: An apparatus for diagnosing ultrasound wave and a method for tracking the movement of tissues are provided to track the movement of tissues in a subject to be tracked by setting a region of interest composed of a plurality of partial regions. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting and receiving unit(110) receives ultrasound wave data from the pre-set region of a subject to be tracked. A first memory unit(115) successively stores the ultrasound wave data. An image generating unit(121) generates ultrasound wave images with the section image of a pre-set region. A display unit displays the ultrasound wave image. A region of interest setting unit(125) sets a region of interest composed of a plurality of partial regions. A tracking unit(122) tracks the movement of tissues in the subject. A movement measuring unit(123) measures the moving distance of tissues in the subject.
