PURPOSE: A remote portable terminal control method base on an SMS(Short Message Service) is provided to prevent loss or a robbery case of important data in a portable terminal by transmitting the location information of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal or an SMS message creation server transmits a work SMS message to a target portable terminal(S100). The target portable terminal decodes the data of message content(S200). The target portable terminal analyzes a work message(S300). In case the analyzed command is a security lock state, the target portable terminal locks important data(S321).
