PURPOSE: An IPTV channel service supplying apparatus and a method thereof are provided to rapidly convert a current channel to a preference channel. CONSTITUTION: A preference channel list generating unit(121) generates a preference channel list in a watching time order. If selection information of nth channel is received, a channel searching unit(122) searches for the nth channel from the preference channel list. A medium stream transmitting unit(123) supplies media stream of the searched channel to the settop box.
