PURPOSE: A copper alloy with improved softening-resistance and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to selectively improve the mechanical property and electric property of a copper alloy by controlling the contents of iron and phosphorous. CONSTITUTION: A copper alloy with improved softening-resistance comprises iron of 0.005-0.051 weight%, phosphorus of 0.006-0.03 weight%, and oxygen free copper and inevitable impurities of the remaining amount. The copper alloy has a softening-resistant temperature of 190°C or higher, an electric conductivity of 71%IACS or greater, and a tensile strength of 545-574Mpa. A method for manufacturing the copper alloy comprises the steps of: casting a copper alloy into slab, removing surface defects from the slab surface, hot rolling the slab, washing the surface of the hot-rolled plate, cold rolling the washed plate, slitting the cold-rolled plate, and rolling the slit plate to the final thickness. |
