PURPOSE: A cable type secondary battery is provided to improve flexibility by coating or protecting an electrode assembly by using scratch-shaped by using an improved cover member of scratch shape. CONSTITUTION: A cable type secondary battery(100) comprises an electrode assembly(120), and a cover member capable of surrounding the electrode assembly(110). The electrode assembly comprises a first polar electrode and a second polar electrode in which electrode active material is spread on the surface of annular, asymmetrical, oval, or polygonal shaped current collector thinly, and an electrolyte layer or a separation film inserted between the first polar electrode and the second polar electrode. The cover member comprises continuous or discontinuous scratch grooves of predetermined shape on surface. |
