PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to improve power consumption efficiency by setting black gradation driving voltage to approximately 0V. CONSTITUTION: A gamma voltage supply part has gamma voltage. The gamma voltage is corresponded to each gray scale according T-V curve properties. A data driving part outputs digital image data on a liquid crystal panel by converting the digital image data into an analog image data. The gamma voltage corresponded to black gradation is in a range of 0V to 0.005V.
