The installation has autonomous audible alarm blocks (200-230) designed for generating an audible alarm signal based on status of a switching member (11). The blocks are connected between each other by a communication bus (3) whose end (31) is connected to one of the blocks. Monitoring units detect isolation or continuity fault of two-wire line (2) connecting the block to an alarm center (10) and the communication bus connecting the blocks between each other. Fault signaling unit signals the fault status of the communication bus and/or the two-wire line to the alarm center.
