The element (100) has layers (102, 104), and an intermediate layer (106) arranged between the layers. The intermediate layer is made from a flexible casing (112) and filled with electrorheological and/or magnetorheological fluid. A wall of the casing is connected with one of the layers in a firmly bonded manner, where the casing is made from foil-like material. A field generating device (110) generates electrical and/or magnetic field for influencing fluid characteristics, and arranged at the layer or the other layer, where the layers are made from fiber-reinforced material. An independent claim is also included for a spring device comprising a flexible element.
