<p>A method and a system for charging a multimedia message service, and a Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) are provided by the present invention. The method includes that the MMSC receives a multimedia message sent from a source user, and sets a forwarding time limit for the multimedia message (101); the MMSC forwards the multimedia message to a value added service platform under the condition that a request for acquiring the multimedia message, sent by a target user, is not received yet when the forwarding time limit is expired (102); the MMSC receives a forwarding success message sent from the value added service platform, generates a charging bill according to the forwarding success message, and provides the charging bill to a Business Operation Support System (BOSS) for charging the source user(103). The solutions provided by the present invention can solve the problem of user's malicious arrearage in prior art since that a multimedia message just can be charged after that a multimedia message to be overdue becomes a final state; furthermore, trash multimedia messages can be limited, user's malicious arrearage can be prevented, and the safety of network operation and the operator's advantage can be ensured better.</p> |
