The present invention comprises: an input unit (input port (11)) for inputting an optical signal; a laser light source (laser diode (20)) for generating laser light; an optical fiber (amplifying optical fiber (12)) for amplifying and outputting the optical signal by stimulated emission based on the laser light from the laser light source; an output unit (output port (24)) for outputting the optical signal amplified by the optical fiber; and passive optical components (optical isolator (16) and the like) arranged between the optical fiber and the output unit. The laser light source and/or the passive optical components and the optical fiber are thermally coupled through a heat-conductive medium.
