A two-stage pressure boosting type refrigeration cycle device configured in such a manner that, when controlling a low-stage compression mechanism (12a) and a high-stage compression mechanism (11a) so that the low- and high-stage compression mechanisms (12a, 11a) operate intermittently in order to bring the temperature of air, which is blown into a refrigeration storage unit, close to a target temperature (Tset), the low-stage compression mechanism (12a) is stopped after the high-stage compression mechanism (11a) is stopped. Also, the low-stage compression mechanism (12a) is driven after the elapse of a reference standby period of time after the drive of the high-stage compression mechanism (11a). The configuration enables a high-stage-side pressure difference (PHd) to be reduced when driving the high-stage compression mechanism (11a) and a low-stage-side pressure difference (PLd) to be reduced when driving the low-stage compression mechanism (12a). As a result, both the compression mechanisms (11a, 12a) can be protected. |
