The method involves determining a prediction value of fan power size to hold actual temperature of a radiator (11) at target temperature without additional position interventions, during changing a cross-section (7) of an air inlet (5). Another predictive value of driving power size is determined to maintain running condition of a motor car (13) to be constant, during changing the cross-section. A balance of the predictive values is determined, and the cross-section is changed by a radiator blind (15) as a function of the balance. An independent claim is also included for a cooling system for a drive source of a motor car.
