The present invention relates to an engine driven by heat emitted from low-temperature water, and to an electric generator system using the engine. The engine includes: a cylinder block (10), which includes a plurality of cylinders (11) and a plurality of pistons (12) that reciprocate within the cylinders (11), respectively; a crank case (20) which receives a crank shaft (21) connected to the pistons (12); a manifold (30) disposed over the cylinder block (10) to control the supply of refrigerant; and a pump (P) for circulating condensed water connected to the crank shaft (21). The manifold (30) includes: two cam shafts (31) connected to the crank shaft (21) for controlling intake and exhaust operations; and a plurality of intake and exhaust valves (32), the opening and closing of which are controlled by the cam shafts (31). According to the above-described configuration, heat contained in easily available low-temperature water can be used, and the driving of the engine can be accurately controlled, thereby effectively and economically generating power and/or electricity.
