<p>Provided is a method for processing toxic matter-containing water, comprising: a step for adding an insoluble metal oxide with a layered double hydroxide as a component thereof and a soluble metal compound to water containing toxic matter; a reaction step for reacting the insoluble metal oxide, the soluble metal compound, and the toxic matter-containing water under alkaline conditions and generating a slurry that includes a sludge with layered double hydroxides formed on the surface of the insoluble metal oxide; and a solid/liquid separation step for removing toxic matter captured in the sludge to outside the system, by precipitating the sludge and solid/liquid separating the slurry.</p> |
