The method involves controlling the rotational speed (n-ist) of the radiator fan (1) to a predetermined speed (n-req) by motoring operation of the drive motor (3). The rotational speed of the radiator fan is lowered by regenerative operation of the drive motor in the drive state of the wind flow. The drive of the radiator fan is carried out by the wind flow (5) in drive state of the wind flow and not by the electrical drive motor. An independent claim is also included for a device for adjusting the rotational speed of a radiator fan in a motor vehicle exposed to the wind flow.
