VARIABLE VALVE LIFT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A variable valve lift device is provided to improve dynamic characteristics by inserting a latching portion inside a body and installing the latching portion closely to a cam shaft. CONSTITUTION: A variable valve lift device comprises a high cam(170), a low cam(160), an outside body(100), an inside body(200) and a latching potion. The high cam and low cam are fixed to a cam shaft side by side. The outside body is compressed by the rotation of the high cam and a cross-bar is placed under a front end of the outside body. The inside body is compressed by the rotation of the low cam and installed inside the outside body. A front end of the inside body is protruded more than the outside body. A valve member(400) is installed in the lower part of the front end of the inside body. An upper side of a rear end of the inside body is connected to a lost motion hinge shaft(110) on a same shaft of a rear end of the outside body and a lower side of a rear end of the inside body is pivoted with a hinge member(150). The latching part is inserted inside the body and connected with the cross-bar selectively, restricts the movement of the inside body on the front end of the outside body.
