PURPOSE: An extendable floating dock and a ship constructing method using the same are provided to overcome shaking due to wave since an extendable floating dock is connected and fixed to land, then ship construction is performed, the extendable floating dock is submerged and launches for the first time. CONSTITUTION: An extendable floating dock comprises a body, an extension unit(5) and a fixing unit(7). The body consists of a plate unit(2), a vertical wall(3) and a tank(4). The plate unit is parallel to water surface. The vertical wall is vertically installed on both ends of the plate unit. The extension unit consists of a horizontal bottom plate(52) and a vertical guard wall(54). The fixing unit is coupled to the extension unit and is connected to land.
