<p>The present invention is provided with: a first switch means; a second switch means that performs a switching operation synchronized with the switching operation of the first switch means; and a gate drive circuit that controls the on operation and off operation of the first and second switch means by means of pulse-width modulation. The first and second switch means have: a channel region that, during the on operation, conducts in both the forward direction and the reverse direction and, during the off operation, does not conduct in the forward direction; and a unipolar diode region that conducts solely in the reverse direction. The gate drive circuit causes the timing that a signal for the switching operation of the first switch means is output from the gate drive circuit and the timing that a signal for the switching operation of the second switch means is output from the gate drive circuit to match.</p> |
