PURPOSE: A voltage regulator which has a soft starting function and a control method thereof are provided to perform a soft starting process without additional current consumption. CONSTITUTION: First and second power transistors(MOS_1,MOS_2) are connected between a first power source and an output terminal. A controller(110) turns on the first and second power transistors. The aspect ratio of the first power transistor is smaller than the aspect ratio of the second power transistor.
