PIEZO INJECTOR

The invention relates to a piezo injector (1), comprising a piezo element stack (3) (piezo stack) mounted in an injector housing (2), wherein the piezo element stack (3) is indirectly connected to a valve needle (5) by means of a connecting element (4). It is essential to the invention: that a piston arrangement (6) is provided between the valve needle (5) and the piezo element stack (3), wherein said piston arrangement has two pistons (8, 9), namely a first piston (8) and a second piston (9), connected to each other by means of a spring lying therebetween; and that the connecting element (4) and thus the piezo element stack (3) are connected to the first piston (8) of the piston arrangement (6) in such a way that a transfer of axial forces between the piezo element stack (3) and the piston arrangement (6) is substantially possible, and wherein the second piston (9) is directly connected to the valve needle (5). Thus the piezo injector (1) can be quickly opened and closed with little wear.
