The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for molding foam using a porous member, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for molding foam for uniformly mixing a molten resin and a foaming agent to form a molten mixture, and for preventing foam from being formed within a portion of the molten mixture before molding. The apparatus for molding foam according to one aspect of the present invention includes: a nozzle; a porous member installed at the upstream side of the nozzle and including pores having an open cell structure; a molten-resin supply unit for supplying a molten resin to the porous member; and a foaming-agent supply unit for supplying a foaming agent to the porous member. The molten-resin supply unit and the foaming-agent supply unit simultaneously supply the molten resin and the foaming agent to the porous member. Accordingly, the molten resin and the foaming agent simultaneously flow through the porous member, and are thus mixed. The porous member may be disposed within the nozzle for discharging the molten resin mixed with the foaming agent, or at the front of the upstream side of the nozzle. |
