<p>A method, gateway and system for reporting the user state in the Next Generation Network (NGN) are provided by the present invention, which are used for solving the problem that when the ring-back tone is played for the calling user in the NGN, the gateway can not use the standard H.248 protocol to report the state of the called user and can not define the state of the called user accurately. With the present invention, by using the existing control framework of the NGN and the feature that the H.248 protocol packet can be extended flexibly, and by extending the parameter in the ring-back tone (rt) detection event of the H.248 protocol packet, such as the call setup procedure tone detection packet (cd packet), the functions for detecting and reporting the state of the called user is achieved conveniently and rapidly, and the state of the called user can be defined accurately to enable the user to obtain the detailed information of the opposite party.</p> |
