PURPOSE: A video device through a settop box and a content selection reproducing method using the same are provided to display graphic information as additional information in case a category and content are displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A category management unit(110) manages one or more categories including one or more items. An item managing unit(120) receives a selection signal about one or more categories. The item managing unit gives a unique number to the selected category. A content reproducing unit(130) reproduces content about the category corresponding to the unique number.
