A vehicle seat device is provided with a drive device, a control unit, and a seating detection unit. The drive device is configured so that a seat cushion having a seating face on which a passenger has a seat is moved in a vertical direction. The control unit controls the drive device. The seating detection unit detects a motion of having a seat on the seat cushion by the passenger. If the motion of having a seat by the passenger is detected by the seating detection unit, the control unit controls the drive device to move the seat cushion downward.
